Zambezi Fishing Safari Overview

Zambezi Fishing Safaris Overview
The Zambezi is the fourth longest in Africa, and beneath it’s mirrored surface, over 60 schools of fish dart around.

Our fishing expeditions explore the Upper Zambezi, and this magnificent stretch of water offers some of the best fishing in Africa.

It is also the territory of the coveted Tiger Fish. This evasive fighting fish is considered a trophy among fishermen, and hauling in the impressive Tiger is a highlight of many fishing expeditions.

The Catch and Release philosophy ensures that after a battle of wills, the fish slips back into the Zambezi, waiting for its next challenger.

With over 60 species of fish inhabiting the river, fishing is a year-round activity, and we target different species during different periods throughout the year.

On offer is both, Half-Day and Full-Day fishing trips which can be tailor-made to suit your preferences.

Early morning fishing begins at +/- 06:30 am, when a Driver Guide collects guests from their lodge/hotel. Our morning fishing trips will include a delicious continental breakfast, freshly brewed coffee and Zimbabwean grown tea, as well as bottled water or soft drinks.

Alternatively, guests can embark on an afternoon fishing trip, enjoying snacks and sundowners on the river while they cast their lines under the warm afternoon sun.

Full day fishing packages commence early in the morning, to catch the morning rays on the river. Lunch is served beneath a tangle of Natal Mahogany and Jackal Berry trees before guests retreat into one of our hammocks for a peaceful afternoon siesta.
