Rhino Walking Safari Overview

The actual time spent on the Walking Safari is approximately three hours. However a lot of the time will be spent quietly observing the wildlife and in discussion with the Guide. You will be walking at a leisurely pace set by yourselves and you can stop as frequently as you wish, to ask questions and discuss any aspect that particularly interests you.

The Guide will find the White Rhino and track as much of the large game as possible. Cold water is supplied on the Walk but half way through the Guide will stop at a suitable spot for refreshments, which consists of Homemade iced lemon juice with cake and cookies to recharge your energy levels.

At the end of the Walk you will meet up with the transfer vehicle at a predetermined spot where an ice cold soft drink will be waiting. After Cold Drinks you are transferred back to your Lodge/Hotel. The whole excursion takes between four and four and a half hours.

This walking safari through the park and surrounding area is suitable for active and adventurous participants.

Two groups are allowed to walk at the same time but separately. Each group is accompanied by an armed Escort Scout supplied by the Zambia Wildlife Authority. The group size and number of groups has been determined to create the minimum of impact on the animals and environment The Escort Scout is for the protection of the clients from potentially dangerous animals.
